The Train
We’ve all been on a packed train surrounded by strangers. This short piece captures that quiet, intense moment when your whole world suddenly narrows down to just one person across the carriage.
Millennium Drought
Droughts are a constant in Australian life, but the ‘Millennium Drought’ hit our country extraordinarily hard. I wrote this piece, which went on to win the Henry Lawson Award, to capture the heavy toll it took on our farming families, their stock, and their connection to the land.
